FAQ
There aren’t many questions here yet. Why not ask us one? Feel free to write to us or post on the forum!
Q: Are you still working on Eufloria? What’s the plan?
A: Now that Eufloria’s been released we’re working on updates to fix critical bugs, minor bugs and nice new features.
Q: Will there be multiplayer?
A: It’s not in the plan. We realise that many RTS fans love multiplayer, and that Eufloria’s AI is not terribly challenging for the seasones RTS player, but we’re not experienced in multiplayer games yet and haven’t planned multiplayer in from the beginning (which we are told can often lead to problems later). Implementing multipalyer at this stage of development is just not something we can afford to do.
Q: Are you planning a Mac version?
A: Yes! It’s now in the plan. Join the mailing list to keep up to date with our releases!
Q: Are you planning a Linux version?
A: We will certainly be looking into a native Linux version as soon as things have died down a little. For now please try running the demo in Wine before considering making a purchase.
Q: How does Dyson relate to Eufloria?
A: Dyson was the prototype version of Eufloria. It was not so much a demonstration version but our old Independent Games Festival showfloor demo, which is nice, but it can’t be said to be the demo for the current game which has progressed tremendously since then. Even the current demo of Eufloria has more content and features than the old Dyson showfloor build.
Q: What is in the full version of Eufloria that isn’t in the demo?
A: The full game now offers the following:
· A single player campaign boasting 25 diverse levels
· A skirmish mode with 8 highly replayable additional levels
· An unlockable 3rd mode with new graphics, and tougher AI
· Procedural content that makes each play session unique
· A unique soundtrack of over 2 hours of music created by Brian Grainger, AKA Milieu
· Intuitive and almost completely mouse-based interface
· Integrated LUA Scripting allowing for enormous modding potential, to allow for additional user generated content
(Among many other improvements or additions)
So, Eufloria is not Dyson 1.5, it has too much new content, play modes, new music, new AI, etc.
